Casual Interviewing Staff
THIS POSITION IS IN THE ACT
We are seeking suitably experienced individuals with a background supporting students in school or classroom settings to join a team administering ongoing epidemiological research study in the ACT.
You’ll collect student information on wellbeing, physical activity, nutrition, and height & weight measurements — full training provided. The outcomes of this research support long-term monitoring of children’s health and wellbeing and help inform the design of targeted health initiatives for Canberra’s young people.
The role
You will work in schools administering student surveys and collecting height and weight data in a professional, respectful, and sensitive manner.
- Full training provided
- Height and weight measurements will be taught by a qualified health professional
- Work conducted across approximately 30 ACT schools
Key attributes
- Consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity when working with children
- Confidence working in classroom environments
- Ability to follow standardised research protocols
Requirements
- Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability for:
- Training in March 2026
- School-based data collection in July–August 2026
