Role Description/Criteria

St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.

St Columba’s College is a leading Catholic secondary school for girls dedicated to empowering young women to act with courage, compassion, and confidence.

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to provide strategic leadership across finance, facilities, risk, and operations. As a key member of the College Leadership Team, you will drive the effective use of resources to support excellence in teaching and learning.

As the Business Manager your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the College’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
• Oversee facilities, capital works, and compliance
• Manage payroll and financial systems with integrity and precision
• Provide strategic advice to the Principal and Leadership Team

We are looking for:

• Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related field (CPA/CA highly regarded)
• Proven leadership experience in finance and operations, ideally in education or the not-for-profit sector
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, compliance, and risk management
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, parents, and external stakeholders
