Job: Behaviour LSA (Learning Support Assistant)

Location: Leeds

Type: Permanent

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per year

The Role:

Veritas Education are looking to recruit multiple behaviour LSA's for a range of roles across both mainstream schools and special educational needs settings.

A behaviour assistant is based within the classroom and around the school, focused on supporting challenging, disruptive or crisis behaviour. You will be supporting a range of children across different age groups, implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to re-integrate the learners back into class.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting challenging behaviour, in schools or from other settings/Role (Support Work, Care, Residential, Coaching)
• Comfortable implementing behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques and able to help re-integrate learners back into education.
• Happy to support children and young adults on a one-to-one basis, and across small intervention groups.
• Pro-active, energetic and committed to helping manage learners with varying special educational needs access a safe learning environment.
