7-10 Learning Support Teacher (PT or FT)

St Maroun’s College is looking for a qualified Teacher for the role of Learning Support Teacher to assist with secondary students (Y7-10) across all Key Learning Areas.

This is a role aimed at supporting secondary students (7-10) who require support across Key Learning Areas.

The role reports to the executive team and the Learning Support Team Leader. This can be a PT or FT role working a minimum of 3 days a week.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide direction and assist the teaching support team of 2 staff members.
• Have proficient classroom management skills
• Maintaining record keeping of Individualised Learning Plans
• Addressing individual student needs delivering literacy and numeracy interventions
• Proficient in IT
• Collect and use a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices
• Have strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with others and students
• Work with class teachers to deliver targeted learning in 1:1 settings as well as small group support
• Provide regular feedback to students, teachers and parents
• MacqLit or other intervention program experience is an advantage

Experience working with students who have dyslexia and ASD will be looked upon favourably.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Education,

• Teaching support qualifications will be highly regarded.

• Experience as a Learning support teacher

• Current WWCC
